This is another of my video montages, again going back a couple of years. This one explains the unique way in which I (and the Naoi Meadow Way) celebrate an unusually long, extended Christmas season. The vintage house you see in the picture above is a lovely old parsonage where we lived in the 1950's as kids. The photo is how it looks today. It's one I took three or four winters ago when I had the pleasure of going back there and tracking down the place for the first time since I was ten. What great memories that brought back!
So, in this video, you'll see how I start things rolling right after Halloween and finally take the tree and decorations down about January 5th (the 12th Day of Christmas). I like to think of this way of doing the Christmas season as my own "tradition", even though that sort of flies in the face of the definition of "tradition", since I've only been doing it this way for a few years. How about we call it a tradition-in-the-making? Enjoy!
Keep it here and stay tuned for more fun stuff related to the Naoi Meadow Way. In a few days, I plan to do another video (featuring me in person) in which I'll talk more in depth about the NM Christmas traditions. And I might even do a song or two, you never know (How about a Christmas carol? Maybe) Check back, okay?
